Daniel Foster has served as director, art director, shooter, editor and writer for a variety of domestic and international productions.

His work has been featured by PBS and Los Angeles’ premier art institutions - the LA Opera, Center Theatre Group, LATC, Renberg Theatre and Cornerstone Theater. National outlets include the Kennedy Center and Delaware's Dupont Theatre, the oldest, continuously operating legitimate theatre in the country.

His short films and documentaries have received nominations and awards, including "Best Experimental Film" for his short Airborn, awarded by the International Festival of Cinema and Technology, and a "Best Documentary" nomination from the Asian Festival of 1st Films in Singapore.

Prior to film, his background as an essayist and writing instructor at UCLA Extension and other universities steeped him in story structure.
